Press Release - Measures to support small-scale fisheries in European waters of the Mediterranean Sea
On Wednesday, November 2nd  2016  was successfully held in Cyprus (Limassol) an informative seminar relating the project with the title ‘MEASURES TO SUPPORT SMALL SCALE FISHERIES’ (MARE / 2014/04 -SI2.723876) funded by European Commission and the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. The aim of the seminar would be the empowerment of the small scale fisheries sector.

Artificial reefs project at the area of Kitros – Pieria

AP Marine in collaboration with Fisheries Research Institute (Hellenic Agricultural Organization - Demeter) work on the artificial reefs project at the area of Kitros – Pieria: ‘’Ichthyologic and oceanographic study of Kitros - Pieria region aiming at the creation of an artificial reef’’ . The duration of the project is 3 years (2015 - 2018).

Measures to support small-scale fisheries in the EU Mediterranean waters – MARE/2014/04-SI2.723876

Pilot project that aims to help small-scale coastal fishermen to overcome a number of problems which limit the true potential of the small scale fisheries sector. The main objective of this project is to facilitate and increase the level of involvement of small scale fishermen in the decision-making processes by exchanging experiences, provide opportunities for education and provide a platform for networking between the various stakeholders involved in the sector.
